Help Baby Jax and the Becerril Family

Donation protected
Join the California Army National Guard MEDEVAC community in offering our love and support to Baby Jax and the Family of SGT JD Becerril:

Baby Jax (Jaxon) and his brother JJ (Justin Junior) were born via emergency c-section six weeks premature on October 6, 2021. Baby Jax was born with a rare condition called Tetralogy of Fallot (fuh-low) with a severe hypoplastic pulmonary annulus complication. He has heart and lung abnormalities that will require numerous surgeries to correct. Unfortunately, Baby Jax has needed multiple surgeries/procedures to also correct an airway restriction that made him unable to cry or make sounds. The surgeries for his airway have created complications for the heart surgeries and required the surgeon to make temporary repairs.

Little Jax's survival has hung in the balance repeatedly over the first few months of his life, and he has an additional surgery to address the hole in his heart and severe pulmonary artery narrowing in March of this year.

Baby Jax and JJ's father, SGT JD Becerril, is a decorated MEDEVAC helicopter crewman in the California Army National Guard with multiple deployments providing medical evacuation care to local citizens and Soldiers in overseas warzones. The twin's mother, Heather, worked in marketing before the children were born.

JD and Heather spent the first couple of months as a brand-new family, staying in a hotel outside the UC San Francisco hospital near Jax and caring for his brother JJ until a room became available at the Ronald McDonald House. Sadly, the Becerril's had to also turn their attention to planning a funeral due to the loss of JD's sister Stacy who died unexpectedly in January of this year.

It has been a tough time for the Becerril family. They have used up their emergency savings, and there is still a long road to go for little Baby Jax.  Any assistance you can give this struggling new family will be greatly appreciated. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.
