Help Baby Hope Recover From Surgery

Donation protected
Hope is our two-year-old half-Arabian Paint horse who underwent colic surgery at Littleton Equine Medical Center, CO on Wednesday, 9/12.  She began showing signs of colic, a common, serious  digestive disorder and leading cause of death in horses, and was examined at her home during the afternoon. At 7 pm, she was transported to Littleton Equine and we made the decision to go through with the surgery that would save her life. Hope spent several days in the ICU at Littleton Equine recovering and gaining strength, and is now back at home, growing stronger every day and surrounded by love and care. She is an exceptionally intelligent, kind, and well-mannered horse, and her caretakers at Littleton enjoyed working with this adorable filly. She also contributed data to a study to help researchers understand the causes of colic and help other horses. Hope has done her part to survive this ordeal, but we are desperate for immediate funds so we can continue to give her the best care and recovery.

In just two years, Hope has brought joy and optimism to everyone who meets her. She was the first foal born at Hope Reigns Arabians in Colorado and continues to capture the hearts and imaginations of dozens of visitors to her new home and neighborhood. For many young horse lovers, Hope brings the excitement of the equine world to their backyard and inspires a lifelong love of horses. She has a special understanding for everyone and is especially gentle with those in need of extra compassion and reassurance. Hope has definitely brought new life and adventure to the barn and received an outpouring of love and support from the community.

The past week has been incredibly difficult for Hope and her family. Your support and well-wishes will brighten our day, and every dollar helps ensure that Hope will continue to be her wonderful self for many more years. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our incredible horse and considering leaving a donation.
