Many of you have followed Ezrielle's journey since she was diagnosed with sagittal craniosynostosis shortly after she was born. We are so thankful for every prayer, encouraging message, and person who has checked in on our sweet girl.

On August 27, Ezrielle will undergo her first cranial surgery at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. During this procedure, surgeons will remove the sections of skull that fused too early and place springs that will gradually reshape her skull as she grows. She will spend about five days in the hospital recovering before coming home.

She will undergo a second surgery to remove the springs later on, which will require a second hospital stay, completing her treatment.

While we are incredibly grateful that this condition is treatable and that she is in the hands of an amazing surgical team, these next several months will be financially challenging for our family.

Brendan will be taking time away from work so he can be with Ezrielle during both surgeries, her hospital stays, and her recovery at home. Along with lost income, we are also preparing for medical bills, travel expenses, meals while at the hospital, and the many unexpected costs that come with caring for a child through major surgeries.
