Help Azores islands guide - Covid19 relief
Donation protected
This emergency fund was created to help us to maintain our jobs who have been directly affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic and at the same time, contribute to buy the protective equipment of all forces fighting and working to protect us from this pandemic in Azores islands.
We are a guided tours small business that works with a small group of freelancers, we love to share our culture and our island, our job, we do it with passion and always with a smile, now we ask your help, we need your help.
The Azores are a lost paradise in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean with a huge tradition of emigrants to the USA and Canada. We are a welcoming people with an friendly smile, welcoming and we do not give up in the face of difficulties. Unfortunately not all fights are easy to overcome and the COVID-19 pandemic affects us all being a strong adversary.
All funds collected will be used to:
- A portion of all funds raised will be utilized to maintain and support our employees who overnight were unable to work and support their families due to the huge impact that the COVID-19 pandemic has on tourism. We are a small business that works with a small group of freelancers who depended on us for their livelihood, now it breaks our hearts to see our employees go through enormous difficulties together with us. Days go by and all we want is to see a smile on our family, even though we know we don't have much to give.
- Therefore, other portion will be utilized to help those fighting for us and need special protection equipment. As we are a small island, we all have a family member working on the front line, police, firefighters, nurses, doctors etc. We don't want to keep our arms crossed waiting for better days, we want to help by buying the necessary protective material to distribute to all those who fight for us. Every day they need more masks, more protective suits, disinfectants, a hot meal, and a word of support for the work they are doing.
- We ask that you consider making a donation to contribute and no donation is too small
- By simply sharing this post could have a large impact on the livelihood of our employees and on the equipment of those who work in the field.
