My name is Avneet Singh and I am an international student in Toronto from India. On 17th Nov 2020, I met with an accident. I was helping out my close friend at a construction site where he was working. Suddenly I do not know how my foot slipped and I fell from the ground floor to the basement. I had a nasty fall. I broke my right hip. After surgery, my doctor advised me to complete rest for 3 months.
At this time, not only physically but emotionally and financially also, I am facing a crisis. I have a huge bill of 13000$ in front of me which I am unable to pay. I have been out of work for 2 months now.
My student insurance refused to cover these hospital and medical bills. My condition is very vulnerable at this time as I have no one to turn to for support
The hospital has given the deadline till Jan 2021 to pay these bills. Whatever meager saving I had, had spent in all of this.
