Just last week 3 year old, Avigail Rachel bat Rivka was diagnosed with Leukemia (ALL - Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia). This type of cancer has a high success rate of remission in children, so everyone is hopeful for a positive outcome. Just a few days later, doctors started her treatments of chemotherapy. Avigail is a resilient, strong, and brave little girl with very brave parents, who will walk this journey with her and with G-D by their side as well as their family and many friends. Please pray for Avigail, and her parents, Itzik and Ricki, as well as her brother Aviv and sister Ariel, as they weather this challenge.

With that being said, there is a long road ahead. With Avigail starting her treatment she will need her parents by her side more than ever. Their lives have changed in less than a week's time. They have already been shuffling every part of their lives but there is more to do. However, this also means less work, which will result in financial stress. The emotional toll is high and they know they must all take care of themselves. Thank you to friends who remind them.
We are blessed by their friends who have and want to help them. Being private and humble people, they have been often quiet about the many challenges that have come and gone. They have faced many scares but have overcome them. This time is different. They need prayer warriors and support to get through this. Children teach us much about ourselves. Whether they are big or small, short or tall, funny or sad, loving or mad, in sickness and health, there is nothing in the world more precious than children.
Those who know Avigail, know that she makes people smile. She is a good girl whom does not deserve this nor does the family. But G-D works in mysterious ways and from the bad we must find the good.
