Hey everybody,
Thank you for taking the time to check this out and potentially help me in a tough time. It means a lot that you even took a look.
I will place a TLDR version of this at the very bottom for those of you who want to help but don't have the time or ability to read through a lengthy description
This holiday season has come with a bit of misfortune for myself. About a month and a half ago, I was laid off from my position as a butender. This was ok initially, because I had saved a bit of money to take care of my essential bills and figured I would be into a new position and back on my feet soon enough.
As some of you may know, I am physically disabled due to a spinal injury. Fortunately I am able to work most jobs that don't involve much standing, lifting, bending or reaching. Usually, I don't have much issue finding jobs I can do because of my previous experience. That has not been the case for the past couple of months.
Despite applying to dozens of jobs and countless check-ins, I have not found placement for myself.
Because of my lack of funds, I was forced to move back home in order to keep a roof over my head. This solved my issues with my living arrangements but due to my lack of income I have begun to fall behind on my other bills.
I have student loan debt, as well as a couple of credit cards that I used to cover myself during periods of unemployment. I'm usually able to make my minimum payments but due to my situation, I just can't right now. Unfortunately, these cards are my only lifeline and are now both maxed. I have already missed a payment for both and another is coming up soon.
Honestly, I just need to make it through another month so that my accounts won't go into collections.
If you can spare ANYTHING please do!! I will be making tiny portraits for anyone who donates to say thank you.
TLDR VERSION
I am disabled and have recently fallen on hard times.
I was laid off in October and due to my condition have not been able to find suitable work.
Because if this I have moved back home, keeping me from contending with homelessness but am currently unable to afford my other bills.
Paying the minimums on my accounts will keep me from going into collections and losing the rest of what I have, so if you can help I would be EXTREMELY thankful.
To say thanks I will be making tiny handmaid portraits for anyone who donates.
