Help Ashley & Rachael Succeed
Donation protected
My name is Terry Brake. I am a single father of two girls, Ashley and Rachael. On September 10, 2005 our lives changed. We were in a serious motor vehicle accident. Ashley had to learn how to walk and talk all over again. She had to attend a Rotary School for speech therapy and has a serious acquired brain injury. She has had a brain spec showing global whole hemisphere injury. The diagnosis is not good. Rachael also suffered serious injuries including her left foot, leg and hip and a mild acquired brain injury. Rachael had to learn how to walk again and required a leg brace and orthotics . Both girls still require medical and/or rehabilitation treatment to this day and will need to continue in the future. I too suffered injuries and am no longer able to work and I used my payout from the insurance company to pay all of my kids' medical/rehabilitation expenses. Intact Insurance who is responsible to pay for my girls has denied and cut off my kids' benefits approximately 5 years ago. Ashley's future care costs are approximately $6200.00 per month and Rachael's future care costs are approximately $4000.00 per month. I have exhausted all of my life savings and my children require extensive long term care. Intact Insurance has offered $25000 for each girl knowing that I am financially struggling and putting my daughters' long term future at risk. With your donations Ashley and Rachael will have the opportunity to receive the proper treatment that they need while I continue to fight the insurance company. It has been a long 13 year battle with no end in sight.
