Help Ari swap a deviated septum for a button nose

The Ask

Hi all. I am putting this out here and humbly asking for any help despite the criticism I will likely endure. You never know who might be in a position to help a girl out. I have had a fairly severe deviated septum since my soccer days when I took a very hard elbow to the face. For years, combined with my seasonal allergies, it has caused me sleeping/breathing issues and not to mention a large amount of discomfort about how it looks aesthetically.

This is not a life-saving procedure, and I can continue life if it never happens. It will be a major improvement for me though, so here we are with this GoFundMe. The insurance coverage is going to be a battle because of the fact that my surgeon and I will be planning to make subtle but very welcome adjustments to reduce the strong bridge of my nose and to give the tip a more up-turned appearance. This portion of the procedure is considered cosmetic.

A Matter of Safety

To be honest, my side profile and my nose in particular are things that I feel still out me visibly as trans to strangers. In the current political climate in the US, it honestly would make me feel much more safe to have this procedure behind me. I HATE that I need to type those words and our country as a whole should be beyond making people like me feel like any given public outing could lead to being harassed or attacked. I have had some close calls (crying typing this part).
