Help Ansley get a Service Dog

I have spent my whole life afraid. My childhood was fraught with the perils of an alcoholic parent and the woes of a physical disability (cerebral palsy). And, it did things to my mind.

Since the age of 14 I have been battling depression and  because of it, I found myself in an abusive relationship with an alcoholic in my early 20s. I was abused, gaslighted, isolated. I managed to free myself from this relationship after 2 years of abuse. This was when the abuse started to manifest physically.

Now, for over a decade, I have been dealing with my consistently poor mental health and finally realized something. I need help. It took one attempted suicide and voluntary admission into the psych ward for me to understand this.

I find it difficult to get up, for any reason. Going to the store sets me into a downright panic. I'm lucky when a panic attack doesn't happen.

I want to live life and not just exist. Getting a psychiatric service dog will help me heal and grow, help me become the best version of myself that I can be. See, animals bring me to life. They keep me centered. They make me feel safe in an unsafe mind and unsafe world.

The above total is the beginning. It's the costs of the dog itself (including the costs of travel to pick it up), a crate, food, toys, training tools, and initial vet visits to make sure my little guy or gal is healthy and therefore able to help me be healthy. Luckily I'm already receiving assistance for training for when I finally have the dog.

I cannot afford this alone, but my health is extremely important to me. Will you please help me? Your assistance will help give me life.
