Countless people know and love her and ask the question, “What can I do?". This donation page has been established to help Annie with her long road ahead. Annie would never ask for anything like this, but her dearest friends and I have set up this campaign to assist with expenses and to keep you updated on how she is doing. Funds raised will be used for uncovered medical bills, travel expenses and housing during treatments.
She is now facing a long and complicated treatment plan that includes Campath injections three times a week, followed by TSEB (Total Skin Electron Beam Therapy) and then Stem Cell Transplants – a very long haul and one that we intend to take with her. Mass General Hospital in Boston is one of the few hospitals where she can receive the Campath. It is essential for Annie to stay close to the hospital even though it’s far from her home, family, friends and her beloved dog, Miles.
Annie has uplifted many lives through her generous and hilarious spirit. She has volunteered as a Coastguard Auxiliary, ESL teacher, Triathlon for YMCA, Run for Safe Passage, and she and her therapy dog, Miles, provide affection and comfort to children and adults in hospitals and nursing homes. This is who she is – a woman who wants to be part of the solution and who brings hope into the hearts of others.
Annie’s mission now is to help raise awareness of Sézary Syndrome which will undoubtedly lead to quicker diagnoses, less suffering, and better outcomes for others in the future. Our main goal is to bring her home safe and sound. We need your help to make this possible.
With all my heart, I thank you.
