Help Anna Williams and Family

This is my good little friend.. beautiful and sweet Anna Williams. Anna and her parents are currently going through a very rough time right now. At the young age of just 13 years old, Anna has the following diagnoses:

*Cerebral Ventriculomegaly

*Chiari Malformation 1

*Chronic Respiratory Failure with Hypoxia and Hypercapnia (CMS/HCC)

*spinal shunt

*tracheostomy

*Dependence on bilevel positive airway pressure ventilation due to *central sleep

apnea

*Obstructive sleep apnea syndrome

*Syrinx (CMS/HCC)

*Brain VP brain Shunt Status current setting of .5 or half (ventriculoperitoneal)

*Bi Lateral Vocal Cord Paresis

*Hydrocephalus

*Anxiety

*PTSD

*Paradoxical Vocal Cord Movement Dysfunction

This brave girl has undergone so many surgeries (6 just in the past year alone) to try and relieve her never ending pain and discomfort. Most recently, Anna went back to Mott for a spinal shunt. Unfortunately, after the surgery, Anna began having severe difficulty breathing. They needed to intubate her and perform a tracheostomy. To date, she is still sedated as she is struggling to get enough oxygen and is reliant on life support systems to ensure she does. By the grace of God, once she is out of the woods, Anna and her parents will still have a very long road ahead of them. She will need to remain in the hospital for 6-8 more weeks, and afterwards will need home medical care.

It is extremely difficult for Renea to work and maintain a job when there are so many appointments and unforeseen difficulties following Anna's many procedures. Don doesn't have any sick time left from work. The cost of gas alone to and from Mott Children's Hospital from Clinton Township, as well as food, is astronomical. In addition, they are going to need to make many modifications to their home to provide Anna with the necessary care once she is released from the hospital.

Anna has spent so much of her childhood in a hospital bed or at home recovering. She is a fighter and a true little warrior, who is full of so much spunk and zest for life. But this last chain of events is going to be very trying on her spirit. Anna also has the purest heart of gold. Even through everything she has endured, she is always thinking of and helping others. I am asking anyone that can, to please help Anna and her family now. If you are able to give anything to help lighten their burden at this time, it would mean the world to them. If you are unable, please keep her and her parents in your prayers and send healing, positive energy and strength their way. They need all they can get right now...
