Help Anna Fight Covid-19

Donation protected

On April 20th, 2020 at 5:00 PM, Our beloved grandmother Anita (ANNA)  May Wynalda was diagnosed with COVID-19. At that time she had already been hospitalized for six days before her test results came back. She was first sent to TRIOS Medical Center in Kennewick,WA. It was there that they decided to start her on antibiotics and place her on a ventilator as she progressively got worse. After multiple attempts of proning her (flipping her upside down) to elevate the mucus in her lungs her heart started to give out. The hospital finally decided that they could not care for her properly because of their lack of knowledge, staff, and equipment for COVID-19 patients. So, they made the cautious decision to life flight her to Legacy Emerald Hospital, Portland Oregon. As soon as she arrived they placed her on a new ventilator that has the ability to expand her lungs more than her previous ventilator. Her lungs are currently at 15%, her heart is giving out, and she is currently in renal failure. The Doctors are fighting to alleviate  her virus symptoms while dealing with her organs failing. She is a currently in a coma, but the Doctors say shes a fighter and are surprised she has made it this far. She is still in critical condition and her odds are against her, but our family has faith.
About Anna:
Anna was born in Texas and is one proud Tejana. She did not grow up rich and had a very humble upbringing. Though she loved Texas as a child her parents made a huge financial decision and moved to Grandview, Wa. There she grew up on a farm raising cattle with her parents and 6 siblings.  At 18 years old Anna  got married and had two daughters. After Anna's divorce she raised her daughters on her own. As a single mother Anna did everything she could to support her daughters. She always worked long hours and had multiple jobs to put food on the table.  All the neighborhood kids always came to Miss Wynaldas's house for food or even just someone to talk to. As she raised her own daughters she decided to foster kids as well. Her foster kids are still actively in her life today. She survives by her kids, all 12 of her grandchildren, and her two great granddaughters. She is known as the "WALMART Lady" because she has dedicated 25 years of her life to working for WALMART". She loved helping her customers and was willing to help anyone who needed it. She dedicated her life to help raise all of her grandchildren. She worked graveyard just to be able to taker her grand-kids to school, because her daughters were both teen/single parents.  Anna would just drop everything at the speed of light to help people.

Anna's road to recovery is going to be hard and long, but with God and our families faith we believe she can make it. Our family is in shock and still in wake of all this tragedy surrounding us. It is difficult to tell what the future holds, but we know that she will always remain beautiful, kind, and strong. Our family will be there every step of the way to help her with this terrifying journey.

We are asking for help to cover the cost of hospital stays and living costs for Grams as she transitions into recovering and needing more help with living activities. Everyone's support means the absolute world to Grams and all of us.

Myself Dominique Martinez,  Eldest granddaughter of Anna.
