Help Animals in Woolsey Fire
Donation protected
The Woolsey Fire has ravaged over 80,000 acres in Southern California with a large horse population. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated and their animals. Volunteers have scrambled to help get these animals to evacuation centers. Pierce College and Hansen Dam have reached capacity. This has hit close to home as White Cloud Ranch in Malibu is where I boarded my first horse two years ago. I still have friends there. Everything burnt down to the ground yesterday. Structures. Tack. Feed. Hay. Buckets. Thankfully all horses were evacuated and are safe.
ALL funds raised are going towards hay, feed, water trucks, and medical supplies for the horses and other animals affected by fires. We are also asking local feed stores for hay, Timothy pellets, buckets, and nylon halters. Seeing this community come together is truly amazing.
Go Fund Me requires full transparency and requires the following:
1. Who you are - I am Kelley Whitis. I own five horses who have been evacuated in the Woolsey Fire.
2. Where you're from - I live in Woodland Hills, CA.
3. Your relationship to the parties you're raising funds for - I have been volunteering in helping get all animals affected by the Woolsey Fire to safety. I have close relationships to all in the horse community and rescue groups that have been affected too.
4. How the funds will be spent (be specific as possible) The funds will be going towards hay, feed, water trucks and medical supplies for horses and other animals affected by the fires.
