Hurricane Irma Relief in Anguilla

Donation protected
On Wednesday, September 6th, the tiny island of Anguilla took a direct hit from Hurricane Irma.  The category 5 hurricane brought with it 185 mph winds and caused complete destruction to much of the island.  This was one of the strongest hurricanes in history to hit this region.

As many of you know my husband, Dexter, is from Anguilla and his father and 7 siblings (and their families) are all in Anguilla.  In addition to my in-laws, we have many other dear friends and family members dealing with the aftermath of the devastation and in need of assistance.  At this point, the island has no power.  My in-laws have been informed that it can take 8-9 months for power to be restored to the entire island.  In addition, everyone's home sustained varying degrees of damage.  There is an immediate need for building materials (to repair their homes), water, fuel and generators.  The generators will be essential in trying to maintain some sense of normalcy during the months they are facing without power as it can help provide running water, cold food/drinks, fans/air.

The money raised from this fund will go directly to my Anguilla family to assist with all of these needs.

Thank you, in advance, for your generosity.  May God Bless you and Anguilla!
