Help Angelina Heal and Recover, Dog Attack

 

On January 16th, I was violently attacked by a dog, suffering severe bodily injury and trauma. I was rushed to Baystate Emergency Medical Center (Springfield, Ma.) to receive proper care and treatment. I had suffered major trauma to the face, upon which several facial structures had been severed. With swift action, the attending physician’s deliberated that my case would require emergency reconstructive surgery to repair the damage.

Due to the extent of disfigurement caused to my eye, the emergency physicians and optometrists suggested that this case would be better suited for repair in Boston. I was then transported to Mass Eye and Ear Emergency Center (Boston, Ma.) to receive the amount of care my situation had desperately required.

Upon my arrival, I was greeted by a fine team of surgeons and specialists concurring a plan to try and fix the damage that had been caused to my body. Some grueling hours later, I found many parts of my face put pack together.

Although the procedure was a success, I still had much more to look forward to. On January 29th, a second procedure was performed, thankfully, without any complication. In a month, I expect to receive my third and final procedure so that hopefully, I can return to a degree of normality within my life.

My ultimate wish is to raise money to help cover the costs of the procedures as well as rehabilitating my life. I remember what it felt like to feel alone, afraid, and in pain and I hope that as a victim of violence, I am able to heal peacefully.
