Help Angel Rodriguez Recover

On the morning of September 2nd, what was supposed to be a fun day of riding four-wheelers, one of his favorite things to do,  with brother-in-law, Tim Verbeke, Angel Rodriguez suffered a very traumatic accident on his four-wheeler. Angel was coming around a tight corner on a trail when his quad malfunctioned causing him to hit a tree, totaling the quad and turning his life upside-down. After being airlifted to the nearest trauma center Angel was immediately rushed to the operating  room. Once his wife, Kierstyn Rodriguez, Tim, and I arrived to the hospital doctors told us that he had broken his neck and it was fractured and dislocated at the C6 and C7 vertebrae along with his left leg being broken in multiple places. The fractured vertebrae caused Angel to be temporarily paralyzed from the neck down. Angel and his wife Kierstyn had to stay at the Traverse City ICU, 250 miles from their home,  for two weeks before Angel was transported to a rehab center in Detroit where he is currently staying in order to regain his basic motor skills with the main goal of walking.  Angel has come a long way from being completely paralyzed to now being able to move his arms, hands, and legs with high hopes of walking soon.  With that comes very high medical costs which can be extremely difficult to cover with only one income. Being a very close friend of Angel's through the years, I have learned that Angel the most kind, caring, and helpful friends I have, along with many other people. I am in hopes that this fundraiser will help keep Angel in rehab so he can eventually walk again. Your love, support, thoughts and prayers have helped keep Angel's spirit high, helping his recovery come along progressively.
