Help Andrew E. Brown’s family lay him to RIP.

July 3rd was a heart-breaking day for myself, my family, friends and those who knew my father Andrew Brown.  I lost my father that day.  My children lost their grandfather, and his friends lost a truly loyal friend.  In one week, my world changed from thinking my father was just fine to the realization that he was leaving this world.  The shock of this sudden loss has begun to wear off, but has been replaced with the shock of learning the steep costs of memorial services.  In addition, we have yet to receive what we expect to be a sizable bill for his brief hospitalization.

Born and raised in Warsaw, Indiana, my father held a number of jobs from car dealer to truck driver to working in the local foundry before he relocated and settled in Vancouver, Washington.  He also served in the United States Marine Corps and later in the US Army.  He was a patriotic man, who loved his country and his family, supported labor unions and will forever be a die-hard Indiana Hoosier fan.

These times have been tough for me, but I’ll     never let my father down by letting tough          times take me down. As my father always said whenever problem would arise no matter how big or small “ We’ll figure it out, we’re Brown’s, that’s what we do. Figure it out.” I am the            father I am because of you dad. You never          stopped believing in me. I’ll never stop                 believing in you.

My father, as tough and straight-edged as he   could be, was a truly loving and caring man     who helped my family through repeated             financial struggles and never hesitated to          offer to sacrifice his own financial well-being   to assist a friend.  For those who knew him, he will be eternally missed.  My family and I are   hoping to celebrate the legacy of my father’s.   life in a way that we feel would be truly fitting and honorable.  If you knew my father or you   find his story compelling, I ask that you make.  some small financial sacrifice to assist us the  way my father would have done for anyone he could. Please donate in my father’s honor, so    that we can all be at peace with his passing.

Thank you, God bless, and Go Hoosiers!
