Help Andra with legal expenses

As many of you may or may not know, my sister Andra Stover is blind. She is wrongfully being denied services from a local nonprofit that works with the blind and visually impaired. This nonprofit provides services such as braille classes, sewing classes, and talking book club. They also offer support groups along with various other recreational activities and field trips throughout the year for blind persons. This provides blind persons an essential community to connect with and an opportunity to encourage one another in navigating life while being blind.
However, this essential encouragement and community was deprived from her and several others when they realized there was serious concerns of possible corruption within the sighted paid employee of this organization. This person’s alleged corrupt actions were being exposed by her and several other blind members over the past couple years. However, at the beginning of this year, when the specific actions of one paid employee was being challenged by the all-volunteer blind board that Andra was elected secretary of (and also president of membership), retaliated against her and voted her out of the board and her from the blind membership she helped to establish.
As a result, this one sighted employee used the blind organization and its money to finance his own personal lawsuit against her and seven other people for challenging his alleged corrupt practices. The other people signed a gag order to not discuss this, because this man’s legal lawsuit intimidated them to do so. Andra does not hold any anger or grudge towards the ones who signed this order. What must also be stated is that not one of these blind people are allowed to return nor do they wish to return to their blind community because of this. This is very unjust to the blind community for a sighted man to keep his paid position while good people who were all volunteers were expelled for questioning his behaviors and actions.
She refused to sign the gag order as she knew it was tantamount to agree to covering up what she believes she can prove this man is doing.
She has retained a defense lawyer and has been paying for the expenses out of her pocket: including bankrupting her savings and giving her stimulus check to her lawyer to defend her.
The ultimate goal is to see this through in court so that possible corruption could be exposed, but she can’t do this financially on her own anymore. This is why we are now asking for donations so that this battle can continue to be fought and my sister could be restored to this organization and continue to receive and benefit from the things they offer.
The bills each month range from 1,000 to 1,500 dollars. We understand this is not as much money that he could charge, but obviously no one is expected to work for free.
