HELP AN IMPORTANT UKRAINIAN DOCUMENTARY

Hello, I’m Lesya Kalynska, the director of a feature documentary in progress,

"A RISING FURY". Our feature film highlights Russia's invasion of Ukraine from 2014 through 2022. Our film team is seeking funding to create an impact campaign that will allow us to promote and publicize the film through 2023. We plan to present our film to local community-based organizations, universities and film festivals throughout the U.S and beyond.

As you likely know, a full-scale invasion by the Russian Federation is destroying my home country of Ukraine. Our goal is for the film to help viewers gain a deeper understanding of this war through the experience of everyday heroes.

We tell the story of a young Ukrainian man from Donetsk. We follow him in Kyiv from the 2014 Maidan Revolution to the front lines of the war in Eastern Ukraine, which began that same year. He meets his future wife during the Maidan, but their happiness doesn’t last long. When Russia invades Crimea and Donbas in 2014, they lost their homes and find themselves on the battle lines protecting their land, democracy, and their relationship. Filmed over 8 years with several expeditions to the front lines of the war, our film team captures their love, struggles, and heartbreaking journey.
