Remembering Nox & Helping Khaz

Our friend Khaz is an animal rights and environmental activist. She gave up her life to move to Indiana and work on a wolf preserve. She teaches the community about preserving the environment and also is able to train and study these awesome creatures and their essential role to our planet.

Khaz made so many sacrifices to move across the country from Atlanta, GA - she moved away from her closest friends and family and took a major pay cut to follow her dream. She moved herself and her two beautiful pups - a great dane mix named Nox and a pit mix named Ouija, to Indiana. While there Nox played a crucial role in Khaz's training and teaching. She was such a loyal, intelligent dog.



Unfortunately, over the last few days, Khaz has lost her best friend Nox. Both her pups got into a jar of coconut oil which they ingested - glass and all, causing lethal toxicity for Nox and near lethal kidney issues for Ouija. Thankfully, Ouija was able to go home without dialysis to keep his kidneys functioning, and while the vet attempted to keep Nox on life support, her heart failed and she passed away.



Khaz has lost a family member. While grieving that loss, she also has to deal with over $4500 in vet bills and interest to allow her to pay these bills in an attempt to save the lives of both of her family members. This is not something she is able to pay working in non profit, and as a result may have to move back to Atlanta due to the large financial burden. Please help us keep Khaz at her dream job, helping our world be a better place and helping the wolf population.
