Help an astronomer fund Grad School

I am Donald and I will be graduated from the University of Washington Seattle with my Bachelor's of Science in Astronomy and Physics June 2017.  My research areas of interest center around compact binary star systems, sytems of two stars where at least one of the stars is a white dwarf, neutron star, or black hole.  I applied to and have been accepted for graduate studies at Leiden University in the Netherlands where I am currently continuing my studies, however tuition and living expenses for an international student are quite prohibitive totaling €30000 for tuition and housing alone. Currently funding for the second year of my Masters program is non existent thus I am reaching out to crowd fund the remainder of my Masters degree.

I was first introduced to the wonders of astronomy during a summer camping trip with
my father to Yellowstone National Park. My father showed me the Milky Way for the first time. He
explained what a galaxy is and where we are in the Milky Way, while my mind slowly realized that
what I was looking at was a galaxy from the inside. A piece of the universe had snapped into view and
space had become a place full of wonders to explore. My passion for exploring the cosmos continued
in 1994 in the third grade. I showed the class how to make a pinhole projector for a partial solar
eclipse. I was captivated when I saw the Sun vanish behind the sphere of the Moon. I visualized the
orbit of the Moon and the how the eclipse worked. My obsession with the cosmos grew with trips to
the local planetarium and television shows like Carl Sagan's Cosmos, Star Trek and Dr. Who.

My goal is to continue graduate studies and earn a PhD in Astronomy and to continue research in compact binary systems and to teach and inspire future astronomers.

The Universe is full of wonders and I am grateful for the opportunity to explore them.  Please help me further explore these wonders by contributing towards funding my graduate education.
