HELP AN AMAZON WORKER SECURE HOUSING

Donation protected

A recent Vice article, "A Homeless Amazon Warehouse Worker in New York City Tells Her Story," profiles Natalie Monarrez, a stand-up comic, Amazon warehouse worker, and a leader in the grassroots union drive at Amazon's Staten Island warehouse, JFK8. Natalie has no family in the New York area and has struggled to secure housing despite working at Amazon full-time for the past three years. Because of the widespread housing crisis in New York City, she does not have enough money, after paying for her expenses, to afford an apartment. Even without housing for herself, Natalie STILL fights relentlessly for her co-workers and is a respected and vocal leader in the Amazon Labor Union. It isn't right that as Jeff Bezos plans his trip to outer space, his workers are trying to find a place to just lie their heads for the night before their next 12-hour shift. We ask that this Prime Day, you consider donating a few dollars to help Natalie secure a place for herself so that she can continue organizing from a safe and comfortable apartment. The funds raised will help Natalie and other JFK8 workers secure long-term housing. Thank you! We will post updates on this page as they come.
