Help Amy with stage 4 colon cancer treatment.

Donation protected
Amy’s family is seeking your financial assistance as she literally fights for her life against stage 4 colorectal cancer.

If you take the time to read this, are moved by Amy’s story, can relate to the financial devastation from your own healthcare experience, or have known and loved someone touched by cancer, please consider a donation in any amount.

Just over a year ago (November 2020) Amy was given this devastating diagnosis. A few weeks later she began her powerful and painful chemotherapy treatment. Her doctor at that time suggested “we have to throw everything at it, including the kitchen sink.” and he wasn’t kidding. In one year, Amy has gone through countless biopsy’s, MRI’s, CT scans, PET scans, Chemo ports, in office Chemotherapy and additional Chemotherapy at home.

ALL WHILE WORKING FULL-TIME AS A NURSE.

If you know Amy, you know what a courageous and fierce fighter she is, and this past year has proven that.

In addition to being a fierce fighter and devoted nursing professional, Amy is the mother to Alyssa & Josh, daughter of Barb & Ron, sister to 6 amazing siblings, a loving aunt, and compassionate friend.

After graduating from high school, Amy decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and began pursuing her nursing degree. She has spent the last 17 years as a committed caretaker for our most vulnerable people in assisted living facilities within the Twin Cities metro area. She has dedicated her career to working for non-profit organizations leveraging her innate natural gifts in caretaking and healing.

BUT NOW IT IS AMY’S TURN TO HEAL, AND WE NEED YOU.

Because of Amy’s income level, she is ineligible for financial aid from government agencies. Her medical debt is astronomical and even with payment plans in place, new bills arrive nearly every day. After January 1, 2022, her out of pocket expenses starts all over.

This is a devastating financial situation under any circumstance but when you are literally fighting for your life, it is nearly impossible to comprehend the magnitude of this added stress.

PLEASE CONSIDER DONATING WHATEVER YOU CAN.

It is with tremendous love and gratitude that we thank you for reading Amy’s story and hope you will consider a donation of any size. Can you forego your $5 coffee for just one day and direct that money to Amy? We would be so grateful.
