Help Amelya make her Film

Hi everyone! 

My name is Amelya, and I live in London. My short screenplay is a romantic comedy with a Danish twist! It’s a supernatural love story - about a Soul Mate connection (AKA “Twin Flames”). The good news is - my screenplay has had some Official Selections at Film Festivals - my aim is to get this screenplay produced into a film, and I would love your support to make this happen!

Why is this project so important?

1) Soul mate connections are very real, and this film will help anyone going through this to know they are not alone. For 1000s of years, people who have had any spiritual experience feared being ridiculed and persecuted, therefore they were forced to keep it to themselves. We all deserve freedom of speech, and this film will bring like-minded people together. Whether you are a hopeless romantic or not, this film has a universal message - have faith in your dreams and trust your instincts, despite any scepticism you face.

2) I have a passion for Nordic culture, and there happens to be a surge in popularity in Nordic culture (art, films, TV shows, design concepts, pastries, etc). You may have heard of Denmark’s reputation for being one of the happiest nations. The Danish concept of happiness is about appreciating the simple things in life goes hand-in-hand with my film's main message, which is to follow your intuition as your pursue your dreams, despite any scepticism you may face.

3) As the world has gone through COVID, wars and natural disasters, we need this ethos of happiness and hope more than ever. Lockdown led to serious depression with the isolation, separation from loved ones, loss of jobs, and all the other upheavals. And on top of that, there are so many violent films out there which only feeds into people's despair, so we definitely need a film that gives us hope!
