Amelia’s Brain Cancer Battle ♥

Donation protected
Amelia is a beautiful, sweet 14 year old girl unfortunately battling brain cancer.

October of 2015 as a 10 year old girl she was diagnosed with an optic pathway glioma brain tumour.

Her Mum had noticed she had a lazy eye so they went to the optometrist who found she had optic nerve damage. From then they had multiple specialist appointments. Then after many tests they noticed that she was missing her vision in one eye & over half of her vision in the other.

Within a week of being diagnosed she was in hospital having surgery to get a portacath then beginning chemotherapy.

Amelia went through one whole year of two particular chemos, before she had an anaphylactic reaction to it & had to stop.
Between all of that she had MRI, ophthalmology, neurosurgeon appointments & a few surgeries to get new portacaths due to a blockage. The tumour did not shrink in that year.

After a break from the chemo, Amelia has now started a new treatment to preserve some of her vision. At the moment she is in & out of hospital for really bad eye pain & severe headaches which often comes after treatment.

Any donations would be much appreciated & will go directly to Amelia’s family to support them through this journey.
