*INTRODUCTION*:
My name is Alleia James and I am a 3rd year Finance major with a minor in Managerial Skills at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). I am studying abroad at the University of Deusto in Bilbao, Spain during Summer 2018. Studying abroad will give me a competitive advantage in the business world because fewer than 10% of U.S. college students study abroad. This is an academic experience where I will be earning credits towards my graduation from UIC.
Summer 2018 Program:
Program starts: June 22nd
Program ends: July 26th
*ACCOMPLISHMENTS*:
I am a Business Scholar, Honors College Member, and first-generation college student. I have maintained a 4.0 GPA and remained on the Dean's List since enrollment at UIC in Fall 2015.
During my time at UIC, I've had the opportunity to serve as a leader in multiple organizations such as Executive Vice President of NSCS, Business Scholar Family Lead, Honors College Ambassador, AAAN Peer Mentor, and Honors College tutor.
*STUDY ABROAD - THE PITCH *:
I will be taking two Business Courses (1st -International Business, 2nd course-Spain's Society and Economy in the European Union), 6 credit hours for the summer. Studying abroad is the opportunity of a lifetime because these courses are NOT offered at UIC.
The Deusto program will enhance my collegiate experience, strengthen my language proficiency in Spanish, and expand my network globally. I am excited to participate in a rigorous program that will aid me in achieving my professional goal of becoming an International Financial Advisor.

Program fees include:
- Application and tuition fees
