Help Alan Sheets Fight Leukemia

Last week my father, Alan Sheets, was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. He was rushed into the hospital and is currently undergoing an intensive week long session of Chemotherapy. To say that this week has been a hurricane would be an understatement.
When he got his diagnosis we were very relieved to learn that he has a treatable form of Leukemia: but we were sad to discover that his cancer is very advanced (his red blood cells were almost completely depleted and his organs were close to collapsing). This means treatment becomes more dangerous, and recovery time takes much longer.
Over the course of my father’s life, he has worked with thousands of people, coaching and helping them find the strength and joy in themselves through his work and discoveries in New Equations. He has raised two daughters, is a grandfather of two, and has been with his wife and business partner Siska for 29 years. Alan and Siska have helped so many people over the course of their lives, and now it is my turn to do everything I can to help them.
Although his insurance is covering much of the procedures for his initial hospitalization and chemotherapy, my family is still left with many thousands of dollars to cover just from his first two weeks in the hospital. Alan will be going to the hospital at least twice a week for many months, and we know the cost of his recovery and complications are something we need to be prepared for. I would so love for him to be able to receive the best care possible. In addition, Alan will be unable to work for up to a year after his Chemo, and Siska will not be able to work her normal hours as she will be spending much of her time taking care of him.
