Help Albert Styles Rebuild

In the early morning hours of October 9th, the Styles Family was forced to evacuate their home as it burned behind them in the Coffey Park neighborhood of Santa Rosa, CA.  Fortunately, the family escaped the blazes unharmed.  However, their home was among those completely destroyed by the Tubbs Fire.

Albert Styles, nicknamed Al by his colleagues, is a 16-year employee of the Photop Advanced Coating Center (PACC; a subsidiary of II-VI Incorporated) in Santa Rosa.  While PACC has made their own contribution to support Al in the rebuilding, this fund has been established to further assist his family through employee donations.

In Sonoma County, it’s been said lately that “the love in the air is thicker than the smoke.”  We’ve already seen an outpouring of support from the local and greater II-VI family and as a result we are organizing a GoFundMe page to collect donations for Al and his family.

Below is a brief summary on the Tubbs Fire as it approached the Coffey Park neighborhood for those not familiar with the full story.

9:43 p.m. - The Tubbs Fire starts near Tubbs Lane in Calistoga in the evening of October 8th. Pushed by strong winds from the northeast, the fire grows more than twelve miles in its first three hours.
1:00 a.m. - Spreading to the south and west, the Tubbs fire reaches Santa Rosa city limits. The front continues to the south into the Fountaingrove area where thousands of homes and many other structures are destroyed, with tens of thousands of people evacuating with very little notice. 
2:00 a.m. - Carried by powerful winds, the fire spreads further to the west, crossing the Highway
2:30 a.m - The Styles family are woken up in the middle of the night to flee their home.
4:30 a.m. - The winds at their peak speed of more than 60 miles per hour push the fire into the Coffey Park neighborhood, where it levels hundreds of homes.
6:08 a.m. Al watches his house begin to burn via their home security system.
