Help Aidan recover after life changing accident
Donation protected
This GoFundMe was made on behalf of Aidan’s parents, Chris and Jennifer Abouarrage.
On January 3rd, 2022, our lives were forever changed when we got the call all parents dread. Our son was in a motorcycle accident where he was a passenger. By God's grace both Aidan and the driver are alive, but sustained life altering trauma. Aidan's friend, Cameron, was trapped under the bike which caught fire and was pulled out by a good Samaritan. He suffered life changing injuries from head to toe leaving him in the ICU in critical condition. Both of the boy's teams of doctors and surgeons say it is a miracle they are still here with us.
A full size extended cab truck failed to yield and ran into the boys throwing them off the bike. Our son, Aiden, was thrown from the bike and was unresponsive when he was rushed to the OU Medical Trauma Center. Aidan is now in the PICU at Children's Hospital where he will remain for an extended period of time. After his stay here he will be transferred to Bethany Children's Rehabilitation Center where he will live until he is released home. Once he is home, changes will have to be made there to accommodate him. Aidan has a broken pelivs that split in two and he has had a plate and rods placed in his back. He also has broken arms, one which he received screws in and will need multiple surgeries. He also has broken legs, sternum, and clavicle. He is unable to breathe on his own at this time. He has had to receive blood from the two hemorrhages in his pelvic region.
Aidan has a very long road ahead and any help with medical equipment, food and travel back and forth to the hospital is appreciated during this difficult time.
