Help Agnes Sofía make it to EXPLO medicine camp

Medicine, a powerful word; every time I hear it, my heart beats faster. I feel a great passion for medicine, and there is no word to describe this wondrous feeling. The service of humanity is the best of all services. I can only imagine myself in the operating room saving lives and then seeing them continue with their everyday life. This is my great passion, and I will do my best to
make my dreams come true.

 Now that I am close to turning seventeen, it remains my illusion to become a great physician. Everyone should take advantage of opportunities and know when the people around you are somehow a bridge to connect with your dreams. I come from a family that has taught me to be optimistic, fight for what I want, have no limitations, and believe in myself. I am confident that I will be part of this group of young entrepreneurs who will fight for their dreams because I believe in
myself.

After exploring Explo and all its offerings, I was overwhelmingly excited to apply. The opportunity of working with physicians and residents while rotating through different specialties reassured me. This program will give me all the necessary tools to build my future. I will evolve, further becoming independent and innovative. One cannot study and learn only from books; therefore, I look forward to learning from the hands-on experiences and extracurricular activities I will have at Explo. I know this will be a magical, unique, and unforgettable experience. I will start seeing the world differently- through the eyes of a doctor.

I will put my academic and personal talents to the test and offer my relentless commitment and responsibility, demonstrating that only those focused on obtaining a successful future are part of Explo. I will make the most of every moment, spread my joy to everyone, help those who need it, and put all my effort and enthusiasm even into the little things. I will leave my mark in this institution by simply being me, an independent, passionate, friendly, cheerful, cooperative, persevering, and determined person.

I have played volleyball since the age of seven. It has been a constant part of my development as a human being. I have been infused with teamwork and the courage it takes to get something done. One of the most important things that this great sport has taught me is that there will be good days, as there will be bad days, sometimes I will win, and sometimes lose, but the most important thing is always to keep my head up and always trust in my abilities. It has also instilled in me the paramount quality of discipline.

The personal and academic experiences and challenges I have faced this year shaped the qualities that reinforce my ability to participate in this program. I am committed, organized, optimistic, and a fighter—a young woman with a high degree of sensibility. At the same time, in the most awakening and profound way, I was given a further preview of the importance, impact, and responsibility my future profession has in society and the world. The fact that the world came to a stop for a while for most, when for others came to an end, helped me realized that we have to embrace every opportunity given; resilience is a great virtue to have.
