Has the ministry of Amazing Grace Baptist Camp impacted your life? Now is the time for you to show your love for the camp by giving back to help carry the camp through this time of crisis.
As you have probably heard, the leadership of AGBC has made the very difficult decision to cancel summer camp for 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. This decision was heartbreaking for the board, the full-time staff, summer staff volunteers, and campers alike. Running summer camp to minister to you and your children is our job - it's what we love to do and look forward to all year! We were anticipating a fantastic summer of camp, so it really is an extreme disappointment to us that we cannot move forward as planned.
Besides leaving a hole in our hearts, cancelling camp also leaves a gaping hole in the camp's finances. Summer camp registrations provide AGBC's key income for the year, and without them, the camp faces some significant financial needs.
Our goal is to keep the ministry of AGBC intact so that we can resume normal activities in the fall and reopen summer camp in 2021. We also want to retain all our staff during this time. Those of you who know the Burkholders, the Greens, and Emily Moline know that God has blessed us with a wonderful staff. These folks are devoted and capable servants of the Lord, and we would be very sad to lose any of them.
We believe God will abundantly supply! With your help, we can weather this dry season and come out victorious on the other side.
We estimate that we will need to raise a minimum of $85,000 in funds to carry us through to the next summer season, assuming we can start having retreats again in the fall.
We need you to help us meet this goal! Even if you can only give a small amount, you can make a big difference because every dollar helps. You may feel like a drop in the bucket, but every drop counts!
