Help After Harvey

Our name is Karen and Scott Hamric and this is our Hurricane Harvey Nightmare. We live in Fannett, Texas. Everyone says you should have had flood insurance, that was not an option for us, as no one would quote or sell it to us without an elevation survey. Which was the problem, we could not get a survey done as the drainage district was remapping the flood plain map.
We bought our family home this January, which has been in my husband family for 3 generation so there was no elevation survey. We were told we had to wait until January 2018 until the new maps were released and pray it doesn't rain. In January 2017 the Drainage district tried to help work with us but there drainage work wasn't done. We still owe on our mortgage for 19 years so if we can even loan from fema now we have a double mortgage. We were planning to start our family soon now that will be postponed. My husbands car was destroyed in the flood as well. Praying for recovery and a way to rebuild. This is a very scary and humblingly experience.
We are young couple starting a family in this house po, talaga pong mabigat emotionally and financially sa amin mag-asawa. Kaya po I'm asking for a little help for us in our moment of need to help make our dream family goal to a reality. Marami po talaga gastusin namin this month kasi im in the process po of my GC/adjustment of status to 10years greencard. My 2 yrs. Greencard will expired last week of this month. Kaya po we are juggling every decisions na gagawin namin para lang makasurvive kami sa pang-araw araw na needs namin.
