Help Aden Kick Cancer’s Butt!

On Saturday, July 31st we got the devastating news that at just 21 months old our sweet nephew Aden has ALL Leukemia. The diagnosis was sudden and heartbreaking, and our whole family is in complete shock. Aden’s parents, Amanda and Dave, are still coming to terms with what they are up against as they begin their very long battle against childhood cancer. Elle, Aden's three-year-old sister, is too young to understand what is happening, but has had to start adjusting to not having her baby brother or parents at home with her.

Many of you have reached out to express your well wishes and support, and the outpouring of love has been genuinely appreciated. The most frequent question we get is, “How can I help?”. With that in mind, we, his aunts and uncles, decided to start this campaign to help alleviate some of the financial burden on Amanda and Dave so they can focus all of their attention on caring for their children. We hope to raise enough money to help pay for some of the medical expenses and lost income they will be facing.

Aden starts his treatment with a month-long hospital stay to undergo various medical procedures and chemotherapy. Once he is cleared to come home, he will require regular chemo treatments over the next few years. Not having to worry about missing time from work or the cost of Aden’s treatments will hopefully allow Amanda and Dave to care for Aden and Elle without the added stress of bills.
