Help Adam Beat Brain Cancer

In August 2021, Adam woke up in the ER with his life changed forever. During the night he suffered a grand mal seizure while sleeping and was rushed by ambulance to the ER. Doctors did tests to try to find the cause and they found a large mass located in his brain. Adam had a brain tumor. They were not sure what exactly it was yet, or if it was cancerous, but it was necessary to remove it as soon as possible. Two days later he underwent emergency brain surgery to remove the tumor and start the long treatment and recovery process.

Due to the location of the tumor Adam lost all motor skills on his left side which would require extensive rehab. They also did biopsies on the tumor after surgery and determined that it was in fact stage 3 cancer which would require that Adam undergo six weeks of radiation followed by over 8 months of chemotherapy treatments to make sure the entire tumor was gone and to prevent it from returning. During his scans they also located a mass on his left kidney which thankfully was not related to the brain cancer, but will need to be removed with another surgery after he recovers from the chemotherapy treatments. All in all it will be close to a year before Adam will be healthy enough to return to work again.
