Help Acropolis & Hadjisavvas Recover From Theft

Donation protected

Doros and Ellada Hadjisavva are two of the kindest, hardest working folks in our community. As first generation citizens from Cyprus, they moved here seeking the American dream and created the beloved Acropolis restaurant. This restaurant has elevated our community’s cultural experience. The Hadjisavvas have also given selflessly to countless non-profit organizations over the years.

The Covid-19 pandemic hit the Hadjisavvas hard and forced them to retool their business. They’ve worked to expand their catering business and invested heavily in a new catering trailer and catering supplies.

Sadly, on February 27th, thieves stole their trailer and its hundreds of catering materials they amassed over their career.

The Hadjisavvas continue pursuing leads, but they had no security cameras to help identify the culprits. And although insurance may cover $5,000-$10,000 in damage, the total value of the stolen trailer and supplies exceeds $30,000.

This GoFundMe campaign seeks to help the Hadjisavvas navigate this devastating time. We spoke with Doros and Ellada prior to starting this campaign. They were grateful for the effort but wanted to be clear that if the police can locate the trailer and goods, they want all donations returned to donors or non-profits.

Join us in supporting the Hadjisavvas during the tragic episode.
