Hi, My name is Abdulrahman Skaik, a 24-year-old Gazan who has faced unimaginable challenges during the ongoing conflict. For five harrowing months, my family and I sought refuge in shelters, enduring constant bombardments. The toll on our physical and mental well-being has been immense—fear, anxiety, and unbearable losses have become our daily reality.

The war not only shattered our home but also took away my business, dreams, and future. However, my personal tragedy extends beyond the conflict. A few years ago, I lost my beloved father unexpectedly, and shortly after, my mother received a devastating cancer diagnosis. As the sole provider for my mom and younger sister, I carry the weight of their well-being on my shoulders.

Our journey led us to temporarily relocate to Egypt after borrowing money. Yet, we find ourselves without a source of income, clinging to hope that we can return to Gaza once the conflict subsides. Our dream is to rebuild our lives, piece by piece, and restore some semblance of normalcy.
