Business started for individuals with disabilities- Ability Star Designs started as a group of teachers, parents, and young adults looking for opportunities for adults with disabilities. We quickly realized if Nebraska didn’t have many, we would create one!

We started the Ability Star Designs in the fall of 2020 and have received orders from local schools, Special Olympics, and other Unified sports. We currently work outside of a home, but our goal is to open a T-shirt shop and become a leading vendor that provides meaningful employment for individuals with disabilities. We currently are still in the start-up phase and would like to increase our production by investing in screen printing equipment. This would increase the services that we can provide to our customers, help us gain more profitability so our business can grow, and continue to provide opportunities for others. The adults working at Ability Star Designs enjoy working, building confidence, and being part of the community workforce.
