Help Aaron Leyh's Recovery

Anyone who has been to the Brucejack mine over the last 6 years has met Aaron Leyh (Leahy) or had him help them in one way or another.  Aaron was the lone maintenance man up here for year’s working day and night to keep things running smoothly.  You could always count on him to jump out of bed in the middle of the night to help solve a problem. He made sure all the bunks had heat, the tanks were full for the generators to keep the lights on, and everything in between.  He could always be counted on to come out in any weather, be it howling wind and snow, pouring rain, or bitter cold.  In between all that Aaron would be in the Carpenters shop building cabinets, shelves, beds, tables, etc.   Carpentry is definitely Aaron’s passion and he put his heart into everything he built.  

 Anyone that had dinner with him would know how much of an appetite he worked up in a day.  Through all of this he did his work with a positive attitude and was always someone you could talk to.  He would lend an ear for anything from work to personal problems and offered help in any way you needed.   

 At home Aaron has a wife and 4 beautiful children that he loves and is proud of.  We all know this because he is always showing us the wonderful pictures of them, you can feel the joy that they bring him. 

 Several months ago Aaron had to stop coming to work due to a serious medical condition.  We are unsure when he will be able to rejoin us up here and we all miss him tremendously.  I can’t imagine the financial hardship that this must bring onto a family of 6, so we are trying to raise money to help support him and his loved ones.

So get better Leahy and get back to work.
