Help Aaron Collins and Family

As I read through the checklist for this page, I find it hard to define something so horrifying. Something we have been trying to put in the back of our minds, a moment we never want to relive, a day that felt like a lifetime. I felt something was wrong when Aaron wasn't responding that Saturday morning, only to find out later that he had been in a terrible accident. My 8yr old daughter and I searched for him for 10 hours. I had actually found the car before I found Aaron. I got the call that he was in Methodist hospital in serious condition. I raced to downtown Indianapolis wondering if I was going to lose my best friend.  The thought of having to explain to Aubrey something so life changing was devastating. The thought of having to tell our unborn child stories about his daddy instead of getting to meet him in person still brings me to tears.

Aaron was driving south on state road 9 on his way to work,  when his car went off the road throwing him into a tree. Aaron suffered many traumatic injuries including; broken left hip socket, fractured pelvis, broken vertebrae L1 through L4, shattered right patella (knee cap), compound fracture to left ulna (forearm), cracked sternum, and mandible (lower jaw) broken on both left and right side, as well as center. Aaron also has suffered lacerations to his face, chin, shin, scalp, and back. He has had a total of 5 surgeries with many more to go. Once Aaron is released from the hospital he will have to go to a rehabilitation facility. This healing processes will be a long road. He will spend months in a wheel chair before he is aloud to walk again, which will also be challenging itself.
As most of you can imagine this accident has taken a toll on the entire family, not only mentally and emotionally, but also financially. I'm currently working and picking up extra shifts to help, but with medical bills rolling in quickly its not quite enough. Its hard to estimate what all of this is going to cost us, and the total keeps rising. However we are so grateful and appreciate all that people have done thus far. Many people have already been helping with Aubrey. Family members have been coming in from all around to visit Aaron to keep his spirits up, not to mention a flood of continuous prayers. With a baby due in early December, all we want is Aaron home, and a speedy recovery. We (I) want him to be able to experience the birth of this child in the hospital with Aubrey and myself.  All we ask for is endless prayers, while making our way down this very long road.
As the mother to our unborn child, and Aarons girlfriend. I have taken on the responsibility of picking up all prescriptions, scheduling all appointments with  Occupational therapy, physical therapy, primary care doctor, orthopedic doctor, maxillary doctor, and many surgeons as Aaron is unable to clearly speak.  All of these appointments, prescriptions, and medical equipment, and dietary supplements are very expensive.  We are asking for help with these costs as our normal income in hurting due to do this horrific accident. I will be withdrawling this money into my account then transfering into Aaron as we cover all these expenses. We deeply appreciate everyones support.
