Help A2 Arts represent England at Dance World Cup

A2 Arts is a performing arts school in Hove looking for help with funding a group of talented students between the ages of 9-19 years, who against strong opposition have recently qualified to compete as part of Team England, at the Dance World Cup 2022 in San Sebastian, Spain 23rd June-2nd July. This is a prestigious event described as ‘The Olympics of dance.’ Over 120,000 competitors from 62 countries compete at their country qualifiers, in the hope of being selected to represent their country at the Dance World Cup Finals each year. We were so proud to find we had ranked in the top 5 across the whole country for every group we entered, as well as qualifying with solo, duet, trio & group pieces.

All the dancers are extremely committed; they attend local schools and practise at A2 Arts most evenings after school and at weekends. Forming part of a team creates respect for themselves as well as others, increases confidence, builds self-esteem and is an amazing opportunity to display their talent and commitment in dance.

Costs this year far exceed previous years and to participate in Spain, we need help with funding. We need to raise in the region of £700.00 per person to cover the costs of travel, accommodation, competition entry fees, DWC team England kit.

The children have so many individual events lined up, to help reach their fundraising goal, car boot sales, cake sales, dance performances, raffles & are working so hard themselves to reach our team goal! We can’t thank you enough for any small part you maybe able to play in helping us reach our target.

We realise how very privileged we are to be part of this wonderful event; however, we are also acutely aware of the pain and suffering of others in the world today, and with this in mind we aim to donate 10% of monies raised to DEC – Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.
