Help a trans' guy's partner be safe

Hi, my name is Henry. My partner and I are currently homeless. I've known my partner, Don, for over 12 years now and have been taking care of them for about 7-ish years. They are disabled and suffer heavily from PTSD from taking care of their dying mother as a kid, something that has been incredibly difficult to recover from and most people have been impatient that Don hasn't "gotten over it".  I've been doing my best to care for Don who has had no stable living since they became an adult, working several jobs over the years and providing shelter when they were homeless a first time, in order to keep them safe and secure. Unfortunately, our attempt to move out on our own to Arizona a second time has gone wayside, with my losing my job recently being the latest disaster and we're now alone with our cat and no way to support ourselves. We've been living day to day in a motel but our funds are dried up and have no where else to turn. I have a place to return to but Don doesn't and I can't bear the thought of leaving him alone and homeless. We only ask for an amount of 1000 that could get a cheap apartment. I have been job hunting like no tomorrow but we have no other means of income until then. If you can help, that's great. If not, just spread the word. We thank you for your time and are deeply sorry to ask for help like this.

We made it to Portland, OR by an extremely lucky coincidence and are now couch surfing for the time being, though were not sure how long we can stay without causing too much trouble.  I am currently looking for a job but right now, we have no funds. We are also currently looking into getting an apartment with Don's brother but we also need the money for down payment and rent and such.
