Help a Trans Femme Go to the Doctor

Hi there! My name is Charlie, and I’m an artist, plant lover, and sophomore in college. I’m also transgender, and I have been fighting to access gender affirming medical care for years now, and I'm currently on the path to bottom surgery. As you may know, gender affirming treatments are hard to get covered by insurance, and when they are covered, supply is so limited that waitlists can be years long.
In September, I was able to schedule a bottom surgery consultation with a doctor in New York for January 2022. I've called everyday since to ask if a sooner date has come available. When I called today they said an appointment on December 1st of this year had just opened up! While this is life changing news that means I can start living my authentic life sooner than I had originally hoped, it's extremely short notice. Without help, my family and I just won't have the resources to make it to this last minute doctors appointment.
The bottom line is, by the 1st of next month, I need to raise enough money to cover travel to New York, the consultation fee itself (my in network insurance won't have kicked in by the 1st of December), and the pre-operative electrolysis that's necessary for this type of procedure (but isn't covered by insurance). If I'm not able to raise these funds here, I won't be able to make it to and pay for this appointment, and I don't know what I would do.
