Help a teacher buy a car after getting robbed

Donation protected
We are asking for your help for our dear friend and a dedicated school teacher, Kristi B. Recently, Kristi's car was stolen at knifepoint at her home, which has put her in a difficult situation as she cannot afford to buy a new one.

Kristi has been an exceptional teacher, always going above and beyond for her students, and we would like to help her during this difficult time. Without a car, Kristi is finding it challenging to commute to school, and her ability to continue to serve her students is at risk.

We are hoping to raise funds to help Kristi buy a new car. Your generous contribution will go a long way in helping Kristi purchase a reliable vehicle and continue to make a difference in her students' lives.

We know that Kristi is a valued member of the community, and we believe she deserves our support during this difficult time. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated, and we will ensure that Kristi receives the funds raised.

Please donate to this worthy cause and help us give back to a teacher who has given so much to her students and the community.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

This is a post from the Greene County County Sheriff Office’s Facebook page:

During the evening of Friday, April 14th, 2023, Deputies were dispatched to a reported armed robbery and vehicle theft in the (I’ve removed her address). Upon arrival, the victim, a 41-year-old Springfield woman reported that she had been robbed at knife point while inside her open garage. The victim reported that she had recently returned home from a shopping trip and while unloading items from her vehicle inside her garage, she observed movement behind her and turned to discover a thin build, black male armed with a knife. The victim reported that the black male pointed the knife towards her and demanded money and her vehicle keys. The victim complied with the demands before the suspect stole her black 2013 Lincoln MKX and fled the area. The victim reported that she had earlier observed this same man walking in the area as she was traveling home.

Additional Sheriff's Deputies and Detectives responded to the scene and area to search for the suspect. Early this morning, a Greene County Deputy observed the victim's stolen vehicle being driven by the man matching the suspect description. When the deputy attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of South Campbell Avenue and Farm Road 178, the suspect fled and crashed off the roadway nearby before he was taken into custody.

The suspect was treated and released from a local hospital for minor injuries resulting from the vehicle crash. The suspect has been identified as Daryll Lamont Carter, a 47-year-old homeless man from Springfield. Carter, who is under P&P supervision for a previous robbery has been charged with:

Count I: Robbery 1st Degree
Count II: Burglary 1st Degree
Count III: Armed Criminal Action
Count IV: Resisting Arrest/Detention/Stop By Fleeing - Creating A Substantial Risk Of Serious Injury/Death To Any Person
No Bond

Greene County Case: 2331-CR00830

*A charge is merely an accusation. All suspects are deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
