Help a Widowed & Disabled Mom Pay Her Rent!

My father, who was a Vietnam Veteran passed away very unexpectedly at the beginning of the school year, My mom and I were his financial dependents and his veteran pension was our primary source of income, now that he is gone our financial income has come to a halt and we are seeking ways to retrieve benefits. My mom is 61 years old and is disabled and uses a walker, she has diabetes, severe anxiety, hypertension, and has been going through a lot of other severe health complications. We are in the process of filing for benefits and the recent COVID-19 pandemic has made it even more difficult on us as we have not received a stimulus check and we have been very fearful of my Mom's health, especially if we were to get evicted.  While we are waiting for our multiple claims for benefits to be processed, which is a long and difficult process, we need to pay for rent, utilities, and buy food, any funds given would go directly to these three very important needs.  I am a 5th-year student at UC Berkeley,  we reside in South Los Angeles and these funds would help us tremendously that way I can continue to go to school without the fear of having to drop out my last year due to financial hardships. This situation has caused a lot of anxiety and stress for my Mom and I and has definitely impacted my ability to do my schoolwork, any funds given would be extremely appreciated and we would be beyond grateful and I can finish school knowing that my Mom is safe and has a roof over her head.
