Help a Queer Black Woman Relocate

Hi my name is Ana. I’m 19 years old and I’m looking to move out of a increasingly toxic and tense home. I currently live with my two parents and siblings. My parents often express their antiblack, homophobic, and misogynistic views around or to me in the name of religion. As someone who belongs to those communities it’s taken a dark toll on my wellbeing. Due to this and an uphill battle with mental illness (bipolar depression & PTSD) I have been ostracized as the black sheep of the family and at home life has become quite hellish. Having grown up around them I learned early to develop thick skin, however I have gotten to the point where I can no longer handle it. After protesting in Atlanta for days I came home injured (at the hands of APD) just to be met with disapproval and bullying. Dealing with this on top of what’s going on in the world today has brought me to my breaking point. I have expressed vehemently to my parents how their actions are pushing me towards substance abuse and suicide, but my pleas have fallen on deaf ears.

I’m hoping to use this money to move out and cover first three months rent in an area with reliable public transportation. ($1000/month + deposit & utilities) Extra funds will be put towards food, public transportation, clothing, therapy, and other possible moving fees. Its taken a lot out of me to speak up about this but the weight of my living situation and current events have left me at rock bottom.
