Help a Professional Trucker Go Independent

Since the beginning of the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, I've been hauling refrigerated food nationwide harder than ever before. I’ve only had 18 total days home with my loved ones from January, 2020 to December. Now, with a second wave of impending lockdowns and an uncertain economic future, continuing to work in the independent contractor model as I am, is becoming increasingly precarious and unpredictable.
I've decided it's in my best interest to become an independent driver and seek my own Federal Motor Carrier Authority. Dealing directly with freight providers and brokers will give me more flexibility, both financially and in load planning. It could make me a far more valuable asset to the industry as a less expensive and more reliable source of transportation for all the goods that drive the crucial backbone of America's food industry.
My plan is to continue working in my current position and raise the funds I need myself.
However, the longer I do so will put me in the potential position of having the rug pulled out from under me if the economy goes under before I'm ready to go it alone. Thus, this GoFundMe.
Anything anyone can contribute would go directly into helping pay for licensing, permits, insurance, and everything else legally required for this transition from a Contracted LLC to an Independent LLC.
