Empower Palestinian family : Rebuilding dreams

Hi , I am Mediene Youssef from Paris , I am fundraising to help my friend from Gaza and here's his story

" Just like any young man filled with aspirations for the future, driven by passion, ambition, and hope, and also hold onto dreams of a brighter tomorrow. And akin to any father, eagerly awaited the maturation of his children, envisioning them as capable individuals poised to enact positive change in the world.

Everything seemed to be unfolding as expected, perhaps even with a touch of perfection, until the day of October 7, 2023, arrived like a sudden storm, shattering the illusion of normalcy and extinguishing every glimmer of hope. The events since that day have destroyed all that remains of our dreams, leaving us survivors in conflict with the incomprehensible reality of our existence. In any way , this genocide must stop..

We don’t know how we survived. Honestly, we don’t know how . We thought we had actually survived, but.... We found that there is another war after we survive, and we find ourselves with nothing, and everything we owned was gone There's nothing left but ourselves, and you!

We are Byan, Seraj, and Shahd Abu Jarad, Palestinians who have spent our entire lives in Gaza - in beautiful Gaza.

We once had a lovely home, a university, jobs, a car, and the comforting presence of family in Gaza. Sadly, everything has been erased, leaving only our existence. The house , with all its memories, is no more ; it was more than a house, it was a homeland. Our hope of returning to it - in northern Gaza - has become very slim . Despite the loss, we express gratitude for God's decree, and we look to the future with determination and enthusiasm .

We are three medical students whose paths have been obstructed and lives disrupted after what happened in beloved Gaza . We survived more than six Israeli aggressions before we were forced into displacement. We managed to exit to Egypt, but now find ourselves homeless. We are in need of assistance to continue our studies and find a shelter, each of us having a unique story and life challenges.

We are a family of 6 members. I am the eldest son, Bayan, 23 years old, a medical student in the fifth level and I was supposed to graduate this year. Then came Seraj, who is 21 years old and he is currently in the third level of studying medicine, then my younger sister, Shahd. She is 19 years old and is in the second level of study. And the youngest sister, Bayna, 12 years old.

My mother is not in good health and always makes us worry about her. She suffers from diabetes and crohn's disease . She is one of the biggest motivations for us to pursue a career in medicine and to succeed in it. So that we can alleviate her pain and pain of all people .

We have lost beloved relatives and friends in Gaza. We have also lost everything we own in Gaza. Our house has suffered extensive damage and is on the verge of collapse. The latest update we received about it was a month ago, accompanied by heart-wrenching images. Currently, we have no information, and there's a possibility that it has been completely leveled on the ground . But we keep reminding ourselves that the material is not what is most important however, it is the memories and the life that once filled it that truly inflict the deepest pain upon us .

The military entered our home, and after it was once filled with life and love, it transformed into a space brimming with bullets and gunpowder.

Due to the profound tragedies we've endured, I am reaching out to all of you. I am initiating this fundraiser to secure the necessary support to complete our medical education and continue moving forward on our path despite the challenges we face. Your contribution can make a significant impact on our journey.

We are now seeking to start studying here in Egypt. The cost of studying per year is $7000, and we are 3 students. 7000*3 = $21,000.

Bonjour, je m'appelle Seraj, un étudiant en médecine de troisième année. J'étais censé obtenir mon diplôme dans deux ans, mais la guerre à Gaza en a décidé autrement.

Nous avons été contraints de fuir vers l'Égypte à la recherche de sécurité et de calme, et nous nous retrouvons maintenant sans avenir ni abri, ayant tout perdu. À Gaza, notre seul espoir était de terminer nos études pour avoir un avenir meilleur, mais malheureusement, nous avons découvert que cela n'était pas possible sans aide. C'est pourquoi j'ai créé ce lien avec l'aide de mon ami Youssef en France, afin que nous puissions achever nos études et défier ces circonstances difficiles.

Nous sommes une famille de 6 membres. Mon frère aîné, Bayan, a 23 ans, il est étudiant en médecine en cinquième année et devait obtenir son diplôme cette année.

Puis est arrivé moi, Seraj, qui a 21 ans et je suis maintenant en le troisième niveau d'études de médecine, puis ma sœur cadette, Shahad. Elle a 19 ans et est au deuxième niveau d'études. J'ai une sœur cadette, Bayna, 12 ans.

Ma mère n'est pas en bonne santé et fait toujours nous nous inquiétons pour elle. Elle souffre de diabète et ulcerative colitis . Elle a besoin de médicaments de façon chronique et nous commençons à avoir du mal à lui en fournir maintenant.

Elle est l'une des plus grandes motivations pour nous de poursuivre une carrière en médecine et d'y réussir. Pour que nous puissions soulager sa douleur et celle de tout le monde.
