Help a mná

One of our darling members needs our help. As you know we don't normally do fund raising but this particular member is like a sister to us.

During a workplace incident in 2018 she was assaulted by a person she was caring for and fell,which resulted in horrendous injuries to her arm. Her workplace is refusing to help with payments towards private care and after two unsuccessful operations under the HSE, each with a two year waiting list, we are now appealing for help to fund the big operation privately. She currently has no grip in her hand, she has constantly disrupted sleep from the severe nerve damage and is at her wits end. The current waiting list to access this operation is hitting on SEVEN years and our darling girl cannot wait that long, she's in so much pain all day every day. She has a young daughter and is currently unable to work so coming up with the money privately is not an option. If we hit our target she could have the operation before Christmas rather than in 7 years time. I cannot stress enough the pain she's in every day and the toll its taking on her and her family. Her time to take a case had elapsed by time the first operation was unsuccessful so she had no recourse.
