Help a Fighter Keep Fighting

Gayle has dedicated her life to education and mentoring the youth of NYC public school systems for the past 24 years. Unfortunately due to multiple medical conditions Gayle will be retiring due to physical necessity. Gayle has been diagnosed with a worsening neurological condition and a severe deterioration of the spinal column. She had a partial hysterectomy and is undergoing spinal fusion surgery on March 17th to save the use of her left arm. Due to this and other increasingly difficult challenges Gayle will be unable to work moving forward.

This unexpected retirement has created great financial strain for Gayle and her family. The disability benefits have still not been approved and can take until at least September to begin. She is working very hard to find a occupation that would allow her to continue making money but at this time needs to wait. Any assistance that anyone is able to willing to give would be greatly appreciating in helping Gayle and her family get through this very difficult time.

The biggest issues right now will be maintaining their mortgage, transportation to medical appointments and copayments for doctor's appointments.
